HarmonyOS 4

HarmonyOS 4 operating system is launching tomorrow August 4th at Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2023 event at Dongguan Basketball Center, China. This will be the finest version of HarmonyOS for Huawei as well as third-party devices.

Let’s take a look at the things that we’re about to witness tomorrow with its unveiling.

Fluency:

The new HarmonyOS software has better fluency to improve task execution and bring forth fast application access. The information shows that HarmonyOS 4 brings optimized performance for each system interaction. Thus you can expect a new user experience.

Animations:

Animations will receive major changes that Huawei made throughout the HarmonyOS 4. There are two aspects too look in this section – seamlessness and smoothness.

  • Seamlessness – The animation has a seamless transition of UI elements from one place to another. For example, the Huawei Share file transfer icon on the top could transform to a wider detail when you open the notification panel.
  • Smoothness – The way animations expands is now smoother than ever. This is more visible when you enable a high refresh rate. HarmonyOS 4 worked on a graphical system to adapt the GPU power and render each pixel better than HarmonyOS 3.0. There’s also a contribution of HarmonyOS 3.1 to this new version.

Security:

We will see new implications in security, HarmonyOS 4 focuses on system-level privacy. It means the software will have new application behavior tracking and safe keep data from the reach of third-party sources. App Guard will also receive new capabilities to ensure some new action on user data miners.

AI:

Changing the course, HarmonyOS will dive more into the new AI world with new language model adaptation. A recent promo of Celia Voice Assistant shows that the company has improved its speed and efficiency in voice-to-text replies. You can now tell the voice assistant to write an essay for you with long text. This is only one capability of the new AI integration but there could be more AI features that we will see at HDC 2023 event.

Aside from these, we can see some new additions to the user interface and some new menu options.

HarmonyOS 4 launch is going to be amusing and we’ll keep you posted with all of the action as it’s launching tomorrow.
