HarmonyOS 4.2 closed beta recruitment begins for Huawei Watch 4 series

Huawei Watch 4 series is ready to enter the HarmonyOS 4.2 closed beta recruitment room and explore a range of exciting features and changes. The company has started inviting the corresponding device users to take part in this software testing activity.

The Chinese tech giant opened the HarmonyOS 4.2 closed beta program for the Huawei Watch 4 series till May 06, 2024. In the meantime, the firm will select 6000 testers to inspect the latest additions to the HarmonyOS software upgrade.

If you want to participate in this activity then hurry up as the company works on a ‘first come first served’ basis and will follow the same treatment for its wearables.

Huawei will thereafter begin the public beta journey with unlimited slots where several users get the chance to jump into the testing pool and look out for the new changes in advance. Although the public beta rollout will appear sometime later from now.

Note that the company said to roll out the new HarmonyOS 4.2 closed beta update for the first batch around April 25. You can check the eligible models below.

HarmonyOS 4.2

The newest software upgrade is full of amazing features for smartwatches such as a new watch face micro-physical monitoring 2.0 capability, better sleep-risk detection, and some other enhancements. Huawei Watch 4 Pro even gets the UWB no-touch car control feature which is currently only available with the Watch 4 Pro Space Exploration.

It is worth mentioning that your Watch 4 model should be running on the baseline version 4.0.0.219 to jump on the newest upgrade. Or else, it may lead to failure.

To register in the HarmonyOS 4.2 closed beta recruitment, you must have the latest version of the Huawei Health app. Open the app > select the ‘Device’ option. Click on the Connected Devices and enter the device details page. Follow the on-screen prompts as well as submit your application.
