Huawei is the world’s largest telecom equipment maker and there are random features spread across the industry to stop its dominance in the field of 5G network.

CEO of France’s leading telecom operator Orange said on Wednesday that some fears surround Huawei are unfounded and based on doubts, reported Reuters.

The US alleges Huawei of being a threat to national security and operates under Chinese law, which Huawei has repeatedly denied.

“This myth that (amounts to saying): I’ve got a China-made antenna, so it must have a microphone that allows all my conservations to be listened to by the Chinese communist party is complete nonsense,” Orange’s boss Stéphane Richard said as he was testifying in front of French lawmakers.

Currently, the Frech government has not taken any step to bar the Chinese telecom giant.

Back in May, the US Commerce Department added Huawei into the Entity -List that bars the company from doing business with US firms. Moreover, US President Donald Trump urging allies to ban Huawei on their grounds.

However, the Entity-list has failed to make any big damage to Huawei and most of US allies in Europe refused to block the Chinese tech giant.
