Family space features update released for Huawei Watch 3 series

On December 28, Huawei has officially launched the family space features for Huawei Watch 3 series including location sharing and emergency contact in China. These new features are useful and keep you connected with the family and enhance the watch’s overall user experience.

However, Huawei Watch 3 series includes high-end smartwatches and consisted of two models – Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro powered by HarmonyOS. The company unveiled this watch with premium features to deliver a whole new user experience and will further upgrade it with new updates.

Coming to the family space features that allow the users to stay connected with the family by just following the simple steps to join and use the Huawei Watch 3 family space features mentioned below.

To join the family space:

According to Huawei, Huawei said that by connecting to Family Space, you can always know the health status of your family. After the follower is authorized and agreed, the follower can view the location sharing.

Follower operation: The mobile phone invites to enter family space via Health app, then members monitor each other to share health and invites to enter family space.

Followed Person Operation: Authorized to join family space on the mobile phone. Open the Health app, then Members monitor each other to share health, tap on Members, and agree to enter Family Space.

Location sharing:

Follower Operations: Request location permission on mobile phone via clicking member’s profile picture, tap on view TA’s location, click on request location sharing authorization.

Follow-up person operation: The mobile phone and watch agree to the authorization of location sharing.

Family emergency contact:

Follower operation: Set up emergency family contact for TA on the mobile phone. To set up Member, go to Set up an emergency family contact for TA.

Follow-up person operation: Mobile phone authorizes the family emergency contact application via family emergency contact invitation, view the invitation card details, and accepts the invitation.

To Add the TA as an emergency contact:

Go to add
Search for the inviter’s contact information to add as an emergency contact
Select “Added, Next”

After adding an emergency contact, select commonly used devices and successfully receive family invites. Followers can receive calls for help in real-time and accurately inquire about the location of the follower.
