EMUI 13 rollout will begin this month

EMUI 13 this month

Huawei is about to release the first stable rollout of EMUI 13 for Huawei smartphones in the global market. This release will mark the start of the EMUI 13 upgrade for old devices and also cut the wait for users.

So, these three phones are the first to grab EMUI 13:

  1. Huawei Mate Xs 2
  2. Huawei P50 Pocket
  3. Huawei P50 Pro

Yes, there are other phones that will get the EMUI 13 and you can check the list here.

However, there is some key information that you should know. Make sure you have the latest firmware update. This will be required to receive EMUI 13 upgrade. You can check for a new update via the following instructions.

  1. Open Settings app
  2. Scroll down and select System & updates
  3. Tap on Software update
  4. CHECK FOR UPDATES
  5. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL

From current observation, we can take May 2023 security update as the base version to obtain EMUI 13 on above mentioned devices. However, we remain cautious and suggest you grab the recent firmware.

EMUI 13 features:

This new update is a hotel cake for all of the Huawei phone users and everyone is looking forward to it. The main attraction to EMUI 13 lies in its features and the latest additions.

This includes a super device, which was first introduced with HarmonyOS in China and it’s now making its way to global devices. Other than that, Huawei has decided to bring service widgets for global EMUI users with this new version.

To support a cleaner home screen, Huawei has included group and stack widget features. These will keep the screen tidy in all conditions.
