EE and Vodafone rolls out EMUI 10 for Huawei Mate 20 devices in the UK

Last week, EE began sending EMUI 10/Android 10 for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro flagship and by moving ahead, EE now started EMUI 10 rollout for Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro in the UK.

In addition to EE, Vodafone UK is also rolling fresh EMUI 10 package for Huawei Mate 20 devices. However, it’s worth mentioning that Vodafone has already rollout EMUI 10 for Huawei P30 and Mate 20 devices in the UK in December last year but now rolling out with a new version and updates size.

Version and expansion:

The EMUI 10 update for Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro on the EE comes in two packages along with EMUI version 10.0.0.154 and size 4.5GB. Some users reported that they received a follow-up package with version 10.0.0.180.

The update from Vodafone comes with the same EMUI version 10.0.0.180 and package size of 4.55GB as well as Vodafone settings and apps.

Note: Currently, we’ve not confirmed the update for Huawei Mate 20 X (4G) on these networks in the UK.

EMUI 10 is built on top of Android 10 and brings new changes in the UX design and introduces new features including Magazine Style UI layout, Morandi Colors, Dark Mode, Golden Icons, New Animations, Improved privacy features.

To check this update follow the instructions below:

Via Settings:

1. Open Settings
2. Click on ‘System’
3. Click on ‘Software update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’

Via HiCare:

1. Open HiCare app
2. Click on ‘Services’ tab
3. Click on ‘Update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’
