Colorful AOD for Huawei P30 and Mate 20 series global users will come with EMUI 10.1

The EMUI 10.1 beta comes with several new features, including the colorful Always-on Display (AOD) and users of eligible devices have been wondering when they’ll actually receive an EMUI software package with colorful AOD. And recently we’ve got an answer to this question.

In China, the Huawei P30 and Mate 20 series devices have recently started receiving EMUI 10.1. This update brings lots of new features along with the Colorful Always-on Display.

With EMUI 10.1, Huawei not only brings colorful AOD but it also has upgraded it with Micro-Stereoscopic AOD. This makes the screen display look more vibrant and three dimensional.

So the Colorful AOD feature will roll out with the EMUI 10.1 software update but the global EMUI 10.1 rollout dates for Huawei P30 and Mate 20 series yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, the current state of the EMUI 10.1 in China has already reached public beta for the P30 series and may take up to 1 month to reach conclusion, opening a way for global rollout.
