Huawei has started to rollout stable EMUI 12 update for Huawei P40 series devices. This new software update comes with a bunch of new features and comes with EMUI version along with a package size of 1.04 gigabytes. The rollout is in the early stage and may take some time to cover all of the corresponding device owners.

According to Huaweiblog, Huawei P40 series users with EMUI 11 can upgrade over stable EMUI 12 via OTA update. On the other hand, the existing EMUI 12 beta testers will receive EMUI 12 stable patch.

EMUI 12 comes with a range of new features including a brand new font system, new user interface design, smart folders, notification center, control panel, better security, and other addition that helps you get the most out of this new EMUI version.

In November 2021, Huawei started recruiting EMUI 12 beta for the P40 series devices and rolled out the first beta software in the same month. Following that the beta activity has been opened in several markets.

How to check for updates:

If you want to download this software update, open the Settings app, open System & updates, tap on Software updates, then click “CHECK FOR UPDATES”. Once available tap on “DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL”.
