ChatGPT is the most popular AI-to-human conversation software and the report reveals that Apple is also developing its own Apple GPT, as a potential rival.

A report from Bloomberg reveals that Apple is developing a new platform with the codename “Apple GPT”. However, Apple has not come up with an official strategy for this new product. Yet, it’s prepared with AI technology.

It’s said that the Apple GPT is based on Apple’s own framework “Ajax,” to create large language models. This is also based on AI-based systems in Open AI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard. Ajax runs on Google Cloud and was built with Google JAX.

In Apple’s case, the iPhone maker wants to use Ajax to create large language models and serve as the foundation for the internal ChatGPT-style tool.

Currently, Apple is testing such tools internally but only for a limited number of employees. Apple employees are using the chatbot to help with product prototyping. The chatbot can be used to summarize text and answer questions based on data it has been trained with.

In an extract, you can sense that Apple GPT could be similar and a rival to Bard, ChatGPT, and Bing AI. But, it’s going to be different from its competitors.

To prepare, Apple is also looking for AI engineers to achieve its goal and continue recruiting new talents.

The report concludes that Apple is focusing on the privacy and security of this under-development GPT platform which could be installed on all Apple products.
