Google today has released the final beta update – Android 11 Beta 3 for the tester and confirmed that the public launch of Android 11 will be coming very soon. According to some previous reports, Google may choose to introduce Android 11 on September 8 but it’s not yet announced officially.

Similar to Beta 2, the final Android 11 beta brings very few changes for the developers because it has already reached the platform stability with Beta 2.

Now in Beta 3, Google has updated Android with the Exposure Notifications System. Users will now be able to run Exposure Notification apps on Android 11 without needing to turn on the device location setting.

“This is an exception we’re making for the Exposure Notification System only, given that it has been designed in such a way that apps using it can’t infer device location through Bluetooth scanning. To protect user privacy, all other apps will still be prohibited from performing Bluetooth scanning unless the device location setting is on and the user has granted them location permission.” Wrote Google.

For devices:

Google has not yet published the information made in the final beta for the Google Pixel devices but 9to5Google got us an exploration of Android 11 Beta 3 new changes including the following:

  • The Power button in device controls is now at the very right. Tapping presents a large, almost fullscreen menu.
  • Quick Settings: A small tweak adds a divider between the fully expanded toggles grid and the audio notification, while you can now swipe away media alerts.
  • Android 11 Logo: Access by heading to Settings > About phone > Android version and tapping the first list item several times. Hold down the dot in the circle and forcefully spin it clockwise past the last outer dot to get the orange “11” to appear.
