Today, Huawei officially opened the first sale phase of the 5G Huawei Mate X5 foldable phone in China. Huawei unveiled the phone online last week and awed consumers with its look and fast network capability.

Huawei has also released the price details for this new foldable device including the following:

Huawei Mate X5 Standard Version

  • 12+256GB version 12,999 yuan
  • 12+512GB version 13,999 yuan
  • 16+512GB version 14,999 yuan

Huawei Mate X5 Collector’s Edition

  • 16+512GB version 15,999 yuan
  • 16+1TB version 16,999 yuan

Huawei Care+ one-year term:

  • Low-cost replacement of foldable screen and outer screen once each at 999 yuan

People who will participate in the first sale or pre-order activity could get Huawei Mate X5 shipment confirmation around September 24th. Huawei will hold an official unveiling on September 25 at the autumn conference.

Huawei Mate X5:

The phone comes in five colors – Phantom purple, feather black, feather white, feather gold, and green mountain dark. Aside from the 5G connectivity, Huawei Mate X5 follows the same specifications as its predecessor – Mate X3. It features a 6.5-inch cover display and a 7.85-inch external display.

Specifically, the foldable screen on the 12GB RAM version comes with a flexible OLED panel, supports up to 120 Hz refresh rate, 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and up to 240 Hz touch sampling rate.

The 16GB RAM version, supports flexible OLED, 1-120 Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and up to 240 Hz touch sampling rate.

Huawei Mate X5

Huawei Mate X5 comes with a redesigned camera outlook as compared to the Mate X3. It features a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture. 13MP ultra wide-angle camera f/2.2 aperture. And a 12MP periscope telephoto camera. The phone was unveiled with an 8MP front-facing camera system for selfies.

It has a dual battery system with a combined battery capacity of 5060mAh. The battery pack could recharge with a 66W charger. The phone also supports 50W wireless and 7.5W wireless charging. The foldable device is IPX8 dust and water-resistant.
