The flagship smartphone Xiaomi 12X receives December 2021 security update for China users. The update brings various changes with improvements in the bugs and issues of the system. This update is accessible in stable recovery through OTA format.

The latest MIUI 13 software update along with an updated security patch provides advancement to the device. It increases flexibility in function management. Furthermore, it resolves a number of issues related to the user interface of the smartphone.

Update version

Xiaomi 12X receives December 2021 security update with the following build number: V13.0.12.0.RLDCNXM. Whereas, the OTA (over the air) is applied for V13.0.10.0. The Android 12 based software appears for only China public at present. However, we expect to have a global release for Xiaomi 12X users soon.

MIUI 13 software

The latest Android 12 based software MIUI 13 offers various new features that attract users towards it. Features like super live wallpapers, dynamic theming support, and new Mi sans font make the user interface more interactive.

Meanwhile, tools like watermark privacy, face verification, and fraud protection help the users to shield their data and information in the device more securely. In addition, it prevents harmful file transfers, fake websites, and malware from affecting the device.

Furthermore, the device supports a non-removable battery with a capacity of 4500mAh and gives a quick charging of 67W.

On the other hand, the smartphone features a triple camera setup. This setup comprises a 50MP (f/1.9 aperture) Primary Camera, a 13MP (f/2.4 aperture) Ultra-Wide Camera, and a 5MP Telephoto Macro sensor with an Auto-Focus. Additionally, a Selfie Camera in front of 32MP appears on the device.

How to Update

For installing the latest software to the device, have a backup of important matters of your smartphone to another device beforehand. Make sure to have an adequate amount of battery level and a good Wi-Fi connection.

To download the Security Patch update, head towards the Settings menu. Select the About Phone section and click on the System Updates option. For the available update, click on the download and install tab.
