Which Huawei phone have you purchased in 2020?

In 2020, Huawei has released a wide range of smartphones from the basic models to flagships for consumers across the globe. Huawei started this year with the launch of Huawei Mate Xs 5G, an improved version of the Mate X with the latest processor and software capability but since it’s an initial foldable phone, the price of the device is still too high.

Huawei’s 2020 flagship campaign began with the launch of the Huawei P40 series, consisting of three models – P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro+. These devices come with a new 7nm Kirin 990 5G processor and a brand new quad curved overflow display, which looks stunning.

All three of these P40 devices come with powerful camera specs but the P40 Pro Plus is the first phone to equip the Penta camera system for better photography.

Huawei P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro+

Following the launch of P40, Huawei also introduced its new Nova branded devices, Nova 7, 7 Pro, and 7 SE. These smartphones are the most advanced version of the Nova series and come with various new features as well as a new 7nm Kirin 985 chipset with 5G capabilities.

Between May to September 2020, Huawei launched a bunch of new mid-range and budget phones in China as well as the global market. These are Huawei P Smart 2021, Enjoy Z 2020 devices, Huawei Y9a, Maimang 9, and more. Furthermore, there are a bunch of other devices that made their way to the market with dubbed names.

Later in October, Huawei introduced its new Mate flagship, the Huawei Mate 40 series, which includes – Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, Mate 40 RS. With these flagships, the company introduced the first-ever 5nm processed 5G chipset – Kirin 9000 and 9000E.

In December, Huawei launched the new Huawei Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro devices, packed with a 7nm Kirin processor, brand new camera design, and an ultra-curved edge display for maximum and mesmerizing viewing angles.

This year, Huawei has also unveiled the latest version of its self-developed distributed operating system, HarmonyOS version HarmonyOS 2.0. As recently, the company started testing the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile developer beta by opening the recruitment of Huawei P40 and Mate 30 series. The company is planning to shift its existing devices to HarmonyOS by 2021.

Moreover, Huawei is also testing its devices for the latest Android-based operating system skin, EMUI 11 based on Android 10.1. The flagship lineups including Huawei P40, Mate 30, MatePad Pro, Nova 6, Nova 7, MatePad 10.8, Mate Xs received the stable EMUI 11 version on home ground. However, EMUI 11 beta process for global users is underway.
