WhatsApp brings new modifications with the new update and introduced voice waveforms for both iOS and Android devices. The voice recording UI gets two new features that will enhance the user experience.

Prior to this, this app received new UI colors, the revamp business info panel, a larger link preview update, and so on. Besides, the team is also working on disappearing messages limit, multi-device 2.0, and message reactions.

This new update mainly brings two functions- voice waveforms showcasing and the ability to stop voice message recording. While recording a voice message, users are able to see the real-time waveforms that will reflect their pitch.

Furthermore, they can stop the recording function anytime between the recording and listen to it before sending. With these customizations, no worries about sending a good WhatsApp voice message in real-time.

Below you can check the preview of the new change in this update-

Here you can see that while recording a message, now it will reflect the waveforms corresponding to the voice tone and you can also stop the recording in between with the stop button placed in the center.

After recording the message you are able to listen to it and can delete it, according to your preference. Below you can check the updated version and availability for both platforms.

Version and Availability:

  • Android- WhatsApp beta 2.21.18.3 version is rolling out for Android device
  • iOS- Users can match their version with the 2.21.170.15 update

The team has just started to send this update for the specific beta testers on both platforms. If the WhatsApp voice waveforms haven’t been enabled on your device yet, you may wait for a while.
