WhatsApp is testing a bunch of new features for the users, and this list of new features is still expanding because it’s now preparing two new important additions.
There are two under development features that we want to discuss today. The first feature is the Delete Message and the other is Advanced Search, coming from the courtesy of Wabetainfo.
This feature allows to automatically delete messages in a chat and was in development previously to work as a clean tool.
The new version of WhatsApp introduces this feature for individual chats, which allows users to choose how long new messages will last before they are deleted. (Currently under Development)
This is another beta feature, will allow users to filter through their chats for searches specific from Photos, GIFs, Videos, Documents, Links and Audio. Tapping on these categories or presets will show related data shared by the user’s chat rooms.
Users can search through the search bar to see the results, which will also show your search history (can be cleared) to work as a quick shortcut.
The results also include a preview of the searches. For example, thumbnails of images, gifs or document searches.
Currently, there’s no information available when both of these will be released but it’s expected to come soon. You can download the latest stable and beta WhatsApp applications from the application page linked below.
