WhatsApp introduces View Once Voice Messages feature
WhatsApp is introducing the View Once Voice Messages feature. After weeks of beta testing for both Android and iOS testers, the company is now bringing the latest functionality to the general public across the globe.
Just like the View Once Media, the new addition in WhatsApp adds an extra layer to your voice messages. Eventually, users can now send such audio messages that immediately disappear once the recipient has listened to them.
When using the feature, you will see a one-time icon. Clicking on it will allow the voice note to be played only once. Concerned with privacy, the view once voice messages remain protected with end-to-end encryption by default. Hence, you can share your secret chats with your friends stress-free.
How to use View Once Voice Messages on WhatsApp?
- Open any individual or group chat on WhatsApp
- Click on the microphone icon at the bottom
- Swipe up to lock the recording
- Now tap and hold the record,
- A View Once icon will appear on the screen, tap on it
As soon as the stylized icon turns green, you are in the View Once mode. Hereafter, you can tap on the send button to share the voice note. To open a view once message, tap on it > check the media > Swipe or tap on the arrow to exit the viewer.
