Understanding Huawei phone auto screen brightness

Published

on

With the automatic screen brightness feature, the screen dims and brightens on its own while using your Huawei phone. This feature automatically increases its screen brightness depending on the ambient light levels.

Also, when you enable automatic brightness, the phone will automatically increase the screen brightness when the sensor detects that the ambient light has reached a certain level, even if automatic brightness is turned off.

How to enable automatic brightness on your Huawei phone:

  • Go to Settings
  • Find and select Display & brightness
  • Tap on Brightness
  • Disable Automatic

Anti-shake feature:

The anti-shake feature is added to your phone to prevent the screen from turning on during calls. When you remove your phone from your ear after a call, the screen will gradually turn on.

Note: This is not applicable to Huawei Mate 40 smartphones

While using the third-party app:

  • Some apps such as video players, readers, and payment apps have permission to adjust the screen brightness.
  • When certain apps such as Browser and Contacts are running, the phone system will reduce screen brightness to save battery. It is an accessibility design that will not be affected by automatic brightness.
  • When your phone heats up, the screen brightness automatically decreases to protect your phone from damage caused by overheating, and when it cools down, the screen will return to normal.
