Notably, Huawei has also reminded people with HarmonyOS 2 to upgrade to the new major version. Thereafter, they can experience the latest features.

Below you can check all of the important notes:

Make sure your phone does not have ROOT, you can download HarmonyOS 3.0.0.168 online after receiving the latest OTA notification. However, you are required to install the base version in order to upgrade to the latest build.

The latest update won’t erase your personal data but we suggest you backup important files in order to prevent unwanted file deletion. The OTA package will be deleted automatically after installation.

After installation, the phone will restart but it may take a few minutes. Afterwards, the smartphone will conduct a self-optimization, which may cause temporary heat, power consumption, hang and slow charging. However, the phone will return to normal within a few days. To note, it’s not necessary that the phone users will face these issues.
