The home screen is better than ever before, the icons are smoothened up, and the widgets are appearing way better than the EMUI 10.0, which the device has been running before installing EMUI 12. We also want to mention that, both Huawei Mate 10 and P20 series have jumped directly from EMUI 10.0 and have not received EMUI 11.0.
It also comes with features such as a large folder, that allows you to combine and organize all of the apps for a clear view. Speaking of apps, EMUI 12 will also bring you pre-loaded app shortcuts that would allow you to fetch the entire app with a single tap. These are:

Control Panel:
Interestingly, the phone has not got access to the control panel, which enables Huawei Mate 10 smartphone users a new way to interact with the smartphone. Unlike EMUI 10.0, the users can now access media controls, wifi settings, and smart devices right into the quick settings, without opening the Settings menu, isn’t that cool? Yes, sure it is.
On the flip side, Huawei Mate 10 users now have a separate notifications panel, that could be accessed by swiping down from the top left side of the display.
Furthermore, features such as multi-window mode and sidebar also rocking on the Mate 10 with this new software upgrade.
