Back in June, Huawei enrolled the Mate 40 Pro for the EMUI 13 Beta activity. The company took this position in order to test the new capabilities ahead of the official release. Meanwhile, Huawei P50 Pro, P50 Pocket, and Mate X2 already entered into a beta campaign. Once registered, Huawei pushed over 6GB of beta package for the smartphone.

It introduces a host of new features and improvements to enhance your user experience. For instance, it allows you to swipe up on app icons to open service widgets, and customize your home screen by stacking widgets or grouping them together.

Swiping up on an app icon with the bottom widget bar generates a service widget. The service widgets will allow you to view key app notifications and details directly from the home screen. The feature doesn’t require you to open the app first.

EMUI 13 improves the security and privacy of the system with its new privacy and security centers. Thus, the new update is a must-install software release.
