September 2023 update rolling for Huawei P60 Pro (global) but all eyes are on the next major upgrade

Huawei has released a new software update for the global Huawei P60 Pro users and it comes with a September 2023 security patch but the major shift in attention turning toward the next major software update.

Global Huawei P60 Pro comes with EMUI 13.1 out of the box and it’s one of the major selling points for this flagship phone. However, months have passed since its launch and users are looking forward to the next version of the EMUI software upgrade.

Currently, EMUI 13.1 holds the highest amount of improvements due to its unique animations. However, there’s more that we can expect from the upcoming EMUI version.

It’s possible that a new EMUI software may come into action with a new flagship similar to Mate 50 Pro from last year. If so, then the global Huawei Mate 60 Pro could be the phone that we may see with EMUI 14. Yet, we need to wait to see when Huawei actually announces EMUI 13 for Huawei P60 Pro users.

The September 2023 update for Huawei P60 Pro comes in batches and rolls with firmware version 13.1.0.176. However, there’s nothing else found in the changelog. You can download the latest firmware release for the global Huawei P60 Pro via Settings and follow the on-screen instructions.
