Received Huawei Assistant and Smart Charge on your phone?

Huawei’s previous smartphones including the older ones, receiving new smart features such as Huawei Assistant, Smart Charge, and Huawei Browser.

In the past few months, Huawei has rolled out these features with new software updates on both Huawei and Honor devices. Moreover, devices such as three-year-old Huawei P10 also get these features with its latest update.

We have reported that Huawei wants to increase the number of users for these apps and to remove reliance on apps such as Google Assistant and Chrome Browser, because of the lack of Google Mobile Services (GMS).

So what are these features?

Huawei Assistant: Huawei Assistant provides smart reminders, personalized news, and other content relevant to you. The assistant is accessible via the home screen.

Just swipe right on the home screen to access Huawei Assistant (or left if you are using a bi-directional language). Huawei Assistant can’t be accessed directly from AppGallery.

Smart Charge: Adds the Smart Charge mode, reducing battery aging by adapting and preventing the battery from being continuously charged when full. (This feature is enabled by default.)
