Qualcomm has a new Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4 chipset, which will use its customized Oryon custom cores. Also, the company has ramped up this new chipset at up to 12 cores to provide a powerful performance. For those who don’t know, Oryon custom cores are designed and developed by Qualcomm’s subsidiary – Nuvia.

According to Winfuture.de, the 12 cores of Qualcomm CPU could be used in Windows-based ARM PCs. On the other hand, the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip with the codename “Hamoa” also has second and third variants.

It’s also revealed that Qualcomm will probably reduce the number of high-end cores in the SC8370 and SC8350 so that probably only six or four high-performance cores will be integrated, while the number of energy-saving efficiency cores will remain at four. According to earlier reports, the 12-core SC8380 should offer eight high-performance cores and four energy-saving cores.

For now, this information about Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4 is not confirmed by Qualcomm but these custom Snapdragon chipsets are reported to be revealed in early 2024.
