November 2020 security update released for Huawei Nova 7 SE Vitality Edition

Back in October, Huawei has relaunched the Huawei Nova 7 SE in China and named as Huawei Nova 7 SE Vitality Edition. In this new edition, MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor equipped in place of Kirin 820 5G.

Now, Huawei has begun sending a new software update for Huawei Nova 7 SE Vitality Edition, which comes with optimizations for video playback experience, system stability as well as installs the November 2020 security update for improved system security.

WHAT’S NEW IN THIS UPDATE:

Version: Huawei Nova 7 SE Vitality Edition grabbing EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.1.141 updating from 10.1.1.136.

Multimedia: Optimizes the video playback experience of some scenes.

System: Optimization for system stability.

Security: Installs the security patch released in November 2020, which fixes 3 critical and 15 high levels of CVE’s for system security improvements.

HOW TO UPDATE:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.

POINTS TO KNOW:

  1. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  2. The update will not erase any data.
