Next-gen Flagship phones to exceed 5000mAh and 6000mAh battery capacities

A new input regarding future flagship phones suggests that upcoming models are likely to exceed 5000mAh and 6000mAh battery capacities. These new batteries may ensure better durability and major improvements in the battery life of the device.

Tipster @DigitalChatStation has shed light on the battery segment of the next-gen flagship phones and said that the tech vendors could now use over 5000mAh and 6000mAh battery cells for the forthcoming smartphone products.

Additionally, the tipster mentioned that there could be a large foldable device with a 5700mAh+ battery, a small foldable with a 5000mAh cell, and other standard handsets with battery capacities ranging between 5800mAh to 6000mAh.

The increase in the high-density battery capacity could be quite useful for users who are often bothered about the device’s long battery life. Yet, the implementation will demand changes to the overall phone structure to fit the cell accurately.

If we look into devices these days, the small foldable mainly holds a cell of 3000mAh. Whereas, large foldable counts on a 4500-5000mAh battery. These capacities are adequate for normal operations, but heavy tasks may lead to extreme power drain.

The same theory applies to the standard smartphones resulting in more charge cycles. Although we may find changes in the time ahead. In this perspective, Huawei has already started using high-density batteries for its mid-to-low-level models like the Enjoy 70 series.

It is worth mentioning that imposing large battery capacities will require design optimizations to maintain the weight and thickness of the device efficiently. Probably, upcoming phones including folding gadgets may show improved battery life.
