Huawei is going to introduce its new P series — the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro – on March 26 event in Paris. Both the smartphones have leaked a number of times in the past but now we have more details about the upcoming series.

According to Roland Quandt (WinFuture,) the Huawei P30 Pro will have a 6.47-inch 1080 x 2340 OLED display, making it bigger but lower resolution than the 6.39-inch 1440 x 3120 screen on the Mate 20 Pro.

Huawei has developed its own OS in case US tensions increase

Moving on to the camera, the P30 Pro has a Leica triple camera setup on the back. The main camera is 40MP f/1.6 with OIS. Then there is a 20MP f/2.2 wide-angle camera. The third camera has the “periscope” zoom system with a focal length equivalent to 135mm. That gives the camera an optical magnification of 7.8x and software can take it up to 10x. The resolution of the zoom camera is 8MP.

Underneath the dual LED flash and laser autofocus is a time-of-flight sensor, which is capable of capturing 3D depth information. Sticking with the cameras, there is a single 32MP camera on the front in the waterdrop notch.

The Huawei P30 is the smaller device, but it also has a triple rear camera setup. The main sensor is also 40MP with an f/1.8 aperture. The wide-angle camera is 16MP f/2.2, and the zoom camera is 8MP. The zoom camera on the P30 doesn’t have quite the fancy tech as the P30 Pro, but it still can achieve 5x hybrid zoom. The P30 has the same 32MP front camera well.

As for the specs revealed ahead of the launch,  the P30 Pro will be hosting a 6.47-inch AMOLED display and also equipped with Kirin 980 SoC and the same front cameras of the P30 variant.

However, the noticeable differences would be a bump in the storage, i.e. 8GB+512GB and the battery capacity, which is said to be of a 4200mAh capacity that also supports 40W Quick Charge as well. And, lastly, the significant feature on the P30 Pro is similar to its predecessor.

According to this information the earpiece is built into it, meaning the screen would vibrate to produce sound and act as a loudspeaker.

The P30 will be featuring a 6.1-inch OLED screen and powered by Kirin 980 SoC. As for the storage the P30 features in 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It would be running on Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. The device is kept alive by a 3650mAh battery.

It’ll lack some of the more interesting parts of the P30 Pro: there’s no 10x zoom, no fourth ToF camera, and no vibrating OLED display, although it will still offer features like an in-display fingerprint sensor and IP68 water resistance.

Unlike the P30 Pro, it seems that the standard P30 will hold on to the 3.5mm headphone jack.
