MWC 2020 cancelled due concerns regarding the Coronavirus outbreak, Huawei appreciates the organizers

GSMA has canceled Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2020 because of the global concern regarding the coronavirus outbreak, travel concern and other circumstances, which makes it cancel the event.

Huawei had also announced its participation at MWC 2020, which is now officially canceled but the Chinese tech giant has appreciated the efforts of the organizers of MWC 2020.

“Huawei respects GSMA’s decision to cancel the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2020. We appreciate all the effort that the organizer and the Spanish government have put into this event,” said Huawei.

Huawei was expected to launch Huawei Mate X foldable phone globally, new smart wearables, 5G devices, IoT devices, and a new strategy. However, the company may seek to launch these new products online or offline.

“Huawei has always and will continue to support the development of Mobile World Congress events in Barcelona. We will also continue communicating with our customers and partners through online and regional events to show Huawei’s latest products and solutions.” Huawei.

The GSMA has announced that the Host City Parties will continue to be working in unison and supporting each other for MWC Barcelona 2021 and future editions.
