Most of Huawei’s 5G commercial contracts are from Europe

During the “5G is ON” summit in Shanghai, Huawei announced its achievement of 50 5G commercial contracts worldwide, as recently it was revealed that most of them are ordered by Europe’s operators.

Chen Lifang, Director and President of the Public Affairs and Communications department, said Huawei has acquired 50 of its 5G commercial contracts globally, of which 28 were signed in Europe, reported scmp.

After the US trade restriction on Huawei, the US leader is continuesly persuing European allies to remove Huawei from their 5G infrastructure, which the EU has actually denied.

“Huawei is following closely the 5G framework of the EU, and fully supports this framework,” Chen said.

According to a recent report, Huawei is closely working with all major mobile operators in the UK to push the 5G network in the country.

On June 25, 2019, Ryan Ding, Executive Director of the Board and President of the Carrier BG of Huawei, announced that the company has so far gained 50 5G commercial contracts and shipped more than 150,000 base stations. The company has also announced that it’s aiming to ship 500,000 5G station by this year.

Currently, 5G installation is reached to countries including South Korea, UK, Switzerland, Italy, and Kuwait have commercially launched they’re a 5G networks, in which 2/3 constructed by Huawei.
