Huawei is much busy with EMUI 11 major update rollout across the globe at the moment. But, simultaneously it is also sending the monthly security update for its devices.

In the line, Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 starts receiving a new software update, which installs the latest security patch released in March 2021. This update improves system security as well as boosts the overall device performance.

To be mentioned, Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 was basically packed with EMUI 9.1 mobile software and further upgraded to EMUI 10 and still running on the same EMUI build. However, this device is eligible to get EMUI 10.1 and above upgrades but the company didn’t make any official announcement yet.

Changelog:

Security: Integrates the Android security patch released in March 2021.

March 2021 Security Patch Details: This security patch fixes 2 critical, 13 high levels, and 132 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.

  • The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
    EMUI version and size may vary.
  • Maintain enough battery and storage on your device.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & Updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
