Back in June, Huawei introduced its latest smartwatch – Huawei Watch 3 series that comes with a brand new design. It’s was the first smartwatch that has pre-installed the HarmonyOS operating system and provides a premium user experience.

However, the Chinese tech maker has not forgotten to bring a new installment of its year-long GT series. Therefore, it has now launched the Huawei Watch GT 3 series, this watch comes with a brand new design and a look that revolutionized the classics of the Watch GT 2 models and is powered by HarmonyOS.

Interestingly, the Huawei Watch GT 3 series is launched in two models – 42mm and 46mm. This lineup is the first to be made available in the global market instead of just being a China-exclusive product. This is great news for any Huawei consumer around the globe to grab this amazing piece of the smartwatch in their country.

Display and Design:

Huawei Watch 3 42mm version has 1.32-inch nad the 46mm version has a 1.43-inch AMOLED Color display that supports touch, slide, and gestures features.

The Watch GT 3 46mm is available in two colors – Black and Steel. On the other hand, the Watch GT 3 42mm is announced in three colors – Black, Steel, and Gold.

Both of these models are made of stainless steel from the front and the rear case with plastic finishing. Aside from the frame and colors system, the Watch GT 3 46mm has a Black fluoroelastomer strap, leather strap, and stainless steel strap. The 42mm also has a fluoroelastomer strap alongside white leather and Gold Milanese strap options.

Coming to the operations these smartwatches come with a physical button system including a crown on the top right, followed by a function button at the bottom right side of the watch frame.

The Watch GT 3 46mm is designed for the wrist size of 140-120mm (42.6g without strap) and the Watch GT 3 42mm is designed for the wrist expansion of 130 to 190mm (35g without strap).

That’s not it, the Watch GT 3 provides you all-around protection with its 5 ATM water-resistant rating at up to 50 meters depth.

The Watch is powered by an ARM Cortex-M chipset and has 32MB of RAM alongside 4GB of internal storage.

On the backside, it has the following sensors.

The watch tells the time of sunrise and sunset every day, supports different moon phases display, and keeps you informed of tidal changes in real-time. The built-in altitude barometer monitors the current air pressure in real-time and alerts you before the onset of extreme weather conditions, adding an extra protective device for your outdoor adventures.

The Watch GT 3 supports more than 100 sports modes like running, cycling, hiking, swimming, jumping rope, and skiing. Whether you’re dipping in the pool or sweating it out on the field, you can enjoy your workout to the fullest. You can also use the watch to play music so that you can match your running time with an exclusive BGM to take the monotony out of exercise.

Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) is one of the important vital signs that can reflect the oxygen supply of the body. Huawei Watch GT 3 automatically provides 24-hour SpO2 level detection. You can keep a track of your health via different sensors that are always there to protect you from various issues under your skin. The Watch GT 3 can measure a sleep routine, monitor your heart rate, regulate your breathing and relieve tension when you are stressed

Connectivity:

Compared to the Watch 3 series, the Watch GT 3 lineup doesn’t feature LTE connectivity. However, it does support Bluetooth calling and has GPS support.

Battery:

Let’s talk about the battery. The Huawei Watch GT 3 46mm version has a bigger battery that could last for 14 days in the following situations: 30 minutes of Bluetooth calling every week, 30 minutes of music playing every week, heart rate monitoring enabled, Huawei TruSleep enabled for sleeping, 90 minutes of working out every week (GPS enabled), message notifications enabled (50 SMS messages, 6 calls, and 3 alarms a day), the screen is turned on 200 times a day.

The battery can last for 8 days in the following situations: 30 minutes of Bluetooth calling every week, 30 minutes of music playing every week, heart rate monitoring enabled, Huawei TruSleep enabled for sleeping, 180 minutes of working out every week (GPS enabled), message notifications enabled (50 SMS messages, 6 calls, and 3 alarms a day), the screen is turned on 30 minutes a day.

Compared to the 46mm version, the Watch 3 42mm version can survive for 7 days in the following situations: 30 minutes of Bluetooth calling every week, 30 minutes of music playing every week, heart rate monitoring enabled, Huawei TruSleep enabled for sleeping, stress monitoring enabled, 180 minutes of working out every week (GPS enabled), message notifications enabled (50 SMS messages, 6 calls, and 3 alarms a day), the screen is turned on for 30 minutes a day.
