Huawei updates Yu Chengdong position details on official website

Huawei has recently changed the designation of Yu Chengdong from the CEO to the Chairman of the Consumer Business Group, and now the firm updated his position details on the official website. The same happened for social media platforms as well.

When visiting the official Huawei Executives website and opening the Yu Chengdong profile, users will see the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Consumer BG.

Yu continues to serve as the Chairman of the Automotive Solution BG and Director of Smart Devices and Intelligent Automotive Components. The only change is the shift from the CEO to the Chairman of the Huawei Consumer Business Group.

Apart from the official website, Yu Chengdong also made adjustments to his Weibo account. Now the position tags beneath the name show three designations:

• Managing Director of Huawei
• Chairman of Consumer BG
• Chairman of Smart Car Solutions BU

Hence the Huawei Yu Chengdong position details adjustment on the official website and Weibo confirms that Huawei made shifts to its senior executive seats.

Early inputs revealed that the Chinese tech giant wants Yu to focus more on the smart car solutions business instead of keeping a check on the smartphone business. Huawei has now assigned He Gang for the role of the CEO of Consumer Business.
