Yep, Huawei could end future launch plans for two of the most innovative smartwatches – Watch GT Runner and Watch GT Cyber. These smartwatches gathered praises all around the world, especially the Watch GT Cyber.

Weibo tipster, FixedFocus said that the Huawei Watch GT Runner and Cyber will be axed. However, the tipster has not shared any details about the reason. But it could be related to a limited user base.

GT Runner:

Introduced in November 2021, the Huawei Watch GT Runner brings a hallowed out lug build to allow more breathable space while wearing it on the wrist.

The smartwatch also equips a durable polymer-fiber case, offset with a ceramic finish and aircraft-grade titanium-alloy crown combined. The watch offers a lightweight and comfortable design of around 38.5 grams, helping the user to achieve better performance.

The watch is optimized to record your training data including training load, running ability index, recovery time, plus altitude and weather. All of this information is available to check via pre-built watch faces.

The watch has TruSeen 5.0+ low consumption, high precision heart rate monitoring with an improved AI algorithm. Huawei Watch GT Runner comes with dual-band five-systems GNSS with 5 major navigation satellite systems for faster satellite search speed and more accurate positioning.

AI running coach helps you to customize your training plan based on your gender, height, weight, heart rate, distance, frequency of runs, pace, and more. Divided into 4 training periods — initial, upgrade, consolidation, and reduction.

Huawei Watch GT Cyber is another innovative wearable, that enables you to switch the watch case and pop out the watch watch face.

This switch and swap smartwatch comes with 7 days of battery life in the usual use case and 4 days of battery life in maximum use. Both of these wearables have various sports modes and health measurement features.

It is unpleasant to see if the Huawei Watch GT Runner and GT Cyber smartwatches are discontinued but we’ll have to wait for more details on this matter.
