Huawei Smart Car Solution equipped BYD Song PLUS EV will come with a lower capacity motor

Today, BYD Songs’ upgraded version that is equipped with Huawei Smart Car Solution- BYD Song Plus EV has appeared on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s declaration list. In addition, new capabilities, images, and other parameters are also revealed in the list.

This Huawei ADS version of the BYD Song Plus EV has the same structure as the previous one with 4705 x 1890 x 1680 mm dimensions. Meanwhile, its wheelbase is 2765mm without additional modules comparing with the earlier version.

Furthermore, BYD has installed a new motor provided by Huawei in accordance with system requirements. The TZ196XYAP1 can realize a maximum power of up to 123kW, which is slightly lower than the previous models. Besides, there is no info has been revealed about the other parameters of the new Song Plus EV.

To be methods, the BYD models come with a 135kW power motor at present. It’ll make this new version a lower one in terms of applying torque. There must be a valid reason behind installing a lower-capacity motor. However, the company said no words about it yet.

Lidars are remote object sensing modules widely used in autonomous vehicles. Valeo is a global leader in the automotive industry in terms of supply. Furthermore, Huawei has shown its potential for the lidar industry in the previous HBT model.
