Huawei Smart Car Smart Screen launched: Comes with a large display, pop-up selfie camera, and HiCar technology

On December 21, Huawei officially released the Huawei Smart Car Smart Screen product priced at 1699 yuan ($258), which provides a smart travel experience without changing the car.

Huawei smart car smart screen sports an 8.9-inch ultra-clear (1920 x 720) resolution display with brightness up to 700 nits and comes with reflection-free glass as well as support the cross-screen transfer of mobile applications.

Initially, the smart screen supports 30+ applications including Baidu maps, Gaode maps as well as other mainstream navigation apps. Furthermore, it supports music streaming services to provide maximum entertainment.

That’s not all because the smart car smart screen comes with a pop-up selfie camera and rear cameras including a wide camera to record drives on a 360-degree adjustable base. The screen also supports voice recognition and air gesture control.

It can be connected to the original car audio to realize cross display mobile apps, navigation coordination, and more.

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group, said that Huawei’s HiCar smart solution has currently partnered with over 20 automakers, 150+ models, and 30+ applications. It plans to pre-install this device in over 5 million units in 2021.

According to the information, the Huawei Smart Car Smart Screen priced at 1699 will be available to pre-order from December 30 and the first sale will be held on January 8, 2020.
