Huawei published a new patent for sharing traffic with in-vehicle devices

Huawei is developing its own technologies in order to become a leading technology supplier in the automobile industry. In the latest development, Huawei has published a new patent entitled “a method of sharing traffic for in-vehicle electronic device”.

The China Intellectual Property data reveals that on June 30, 2020, Huawei applied for sharing traffic-related patent, which was published on January 18, 2022, with announcement number CN113950031A in China.

According to the patent description, this patent technology discloses a process for sharing the traffic with in-vehicle electronic devices. This patent is related to the field of short-range high communications.

The process explains that the in-vehicle device uses the first antenna to establish a Bluetooth connection with a smartphone, and uses a second antenna to receive SSID and access password.

Further, it accesses the smartphone hotspot according to the received SSID and access password, so that only the smartphone in the car can establish a Bluetooth connection with the in-vehicle device. Then, the in-vehicle device can be quickly and safely connected to the in-vehicle smartphone hotspot and use the traffic shared by the mobile phone, reducing the user’s operation and improving the user experience.

Huawei Patents:

In December 2021, Huawei patented a motion planning technology in the field of autonomous driving. This can provide a method and tool for motion planning for autonomous vehicles that help inflexible responding to dynamic obstacles.

The process includes the receive driving environment information including information on the location of dynamic obstacles. Then, input the state representation of the driving environment information into the trained reinforcement learning network model to obtain the time domain output predicted by the reinforcement learning network model.
