Huawei Philippines will launch latest Band 6 and FreeBuds 4i on April 18

Huawei Philippines has recently announced that it will host a live product launch event on April 18 at 4:00 PM. During the event, the company will release two smart wearables including Huawei Band 6 and FreeBuds 4i.

These smart devices can help out the consumer in tracking workout progress using the upcoming Fitness Band 6 while listening to favorite songs on FreeBuds 4i. Catch the launch via Shopee live. [Link]

Previously, Huawei Band 6 and FreeBuds 4i have already launched in the Chinese as well as some other global markets. Now, Huawei began revealed this amazing product in the rest of the global market and this time in Philippiness.

Huawei Band 6 specification:

Huawei Band 6 brings a 1.47-inch stylish rectangular AMOLED display with 194 x 368 PPI resolution, 43mm x 25.8mm x 10.99mm dimension, weight around 18g. It comes with a Silicon rubber strap to make this device light weight on the wrist.

Looking at software, it supports  SpO2 monitoring sensor as part of the TruSeen Heart Rate sensor including a sleep tracker – TruSleep 2.0, which keeps tabs on sleep stages, as well as breathing rate during rest.

As it is a fitness band, it offers 96 different workout modes including running, cycling, even rope skipping, and more. In terms of battery, it can smoothly work continue up to 2 weeks, and roughly about 10 days. Moreover, just 5 minutes single charge can provide battery life up to 2 days.

Additionally, Band 6 provides support for Bluetooth 5.0, 5 ATM water-resistant, and more. Also, it can keep you in touch with your smartphone, You can see incoming calls, text messages, and weather updates. Also, you can control the music player on your wrist.

 

Huawei FreeBuds 4i specification:

Huawei FreeBuds 4i offers a new 3D bionic design that perfectly fits close to the ears, which reduces the weight for the best comfort. It has 10mm dynamic coil driver, sensitive polymer, dual mics, Bluetooth 5.2 support, supports new intelligence audio using the ANC, and more.

This FreeBuds packs with 55mAh battery capacity on each earbud, 215mAh on the charging case, which provides a battery life of around 10 hours. It takes around 60 minutes to fully charge inside the box and the charging box takes about 90 minutes.

Additionally, it features an oval-shaped charging case that is compact and refreshed in design and comes in three colors of Ceramic White, Carbon Black, and Red.

The BES2700 chip for Huawei FreeBuds 5 uses a high-performance core, which provides dynamic original sound. It reduces the power consumption of the earphones, the longest battery life is 30 hours, and can comfortably reduce noise, and the quietness is just right.

BES2700 series chip was also used in Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2. It is an ultra-low-power Bluetooth wearable platform. The chip mainly comes in use for TWS, hybrid ANC, and AI voice applications. These processors have the capability of intelligently processing the localized data with the minimum amount of power requirement.

In 2022, the volume of BES2700 series smartwatch chips increased rapidly. During the reporting period, Hengxuan Technology achieved a watch chip revenue of 290 million yuan, accounting for 19% of revenue. Bluetooth audio chip revenue of 1.09 billion yuan accounts for 74%.

Huawei Watch 3 series is the first to grab HarmonyOS 3 software and the company is pushing March 2023 update for this smartwatch with a new security patch.

According to the changelog, Huawei Watch 3 series is getting March 2023 update tagged with build version 3.0.0.157. While users will have to download 258 megabytes of package size to get this new improvement onboard.

However, there’s something special about this release and that is related to the security patch. The new firmware has February 2023 security patch. With HarmonyOS 2, Huawei never fetched the Huawei Watch 3 series with a new security patch. Not specifically in the changelog.

Interestingly, this is the first time, we’re witnessing such improvement in the OTA upgrade changelog. But it is the only improvement that the smartwatch is getting for the time being.
