Huawei P70 series is going to be a massive flagship and its new display specs leak reveals two types of micro quad-curved LTPO screen solutions. The company will likely use proficient display panels for its next P-series smartphones.

According to the Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation, Huawei is working on two distinct and new micro quad-curved LTPO display panels for the P70 series. Notably, these new screen solutions are uniform and have seamless edges.

In addition, the tipster shared the display specs details of the two new solutions for the Huawei P70 series: 6.58-inch+2.5D 1.5K LTPO and 6.8-inch+2.5D 1.5K LTPO. Both these screens are solid and provide a polished look to the device.

Looking at the details, these display panels will feature 1.5K resolution to offer a clear, high-quality visual experience. Alongside, the 2.5D glass reflects the slight curvature at the sides instead of featuring 90-degree glass edges.

Meanwhile, the 6.58-inch might show up with the standard variant in the P70 series. Whereas, the other high-end models of the approaching lineup may sport the 6.8-inch LTPO screen panels with 1.5K resolution.

LTPO Display:

Low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) is generally a type of OLED backplane technology. Unlike other display components, it doesn’t require any additional elements between the display controller and the GPU to deliver dynamic refresh rates.

In simple words, LTPO is beneficial compared to other screen solutions as it helps reduce power consumption by adjusting the refresh rate. This does not compromise the user experience and brings reliable display performance on board.

Huawei P60 series:

The predecessor landed on the platform with a 6.67-inch OLED screen supporting a 120 Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate. It further supported capabilities like 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, a 300 Hz touch sampling rate, 1.07 billion colors, and P3 wide color gamut.

However, it seems as if the company is trying brand-new upgrades in every segment for the upcoming P-series. Apart from the camera features, the Chinese tech giant is exploring better screen techs that can boost the visual efficiency of devices and we may find more inputs on this matter in the coming days.
