According to the well know Weibo tipster, DigitalChatStation, the Huawei P60 series will come with 50 megapixel main camera. It will be powered by a SONY IMX 888 sensor and it will be a customized version for the Huawei P60 lineup.
But there’s another interesting fact that the tipster revealed, which is, the Huawei P60 series will be the first phone in the P-series to feature variable aperture camera technology.
As mentioned above the variable aperture range for the main camera will start from F/1.4 largest to 4.0 smallest. This will give users immense control to take better photographs in different conditions.
Huawei Mate 50 series was the first smartphone to bring this technology. In action, the feature uses hardware technology on top of the main camera, which includes six blades.
The feature auto-adjusts the aperture to meet the requirement of the scene in real time. It also gives you 10 different aperture sizes to choose from and select the way you want to capture a moment.
The largest f/1.4 aperture provides 24% more light to click bright night photos. On the other hand, the shallow number lets you produce the best portrait effect.
Aside from the Mate 50 series, Huawei could polish the variable aperture to bring better results with the Huawei P60 series.
The tipster also metioned that the Huawei P60 series will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. According to the information, this chipset is an octa-core chip with Octa-core, 1 × Cortex-X2 at 3.2 GHz + 3 × Cortex-A710 clocked at 2.75 GHz + 4 × Cortex-A510 at 2.0 GHz. The chip has Adreno 730 GPU.
