Satellite connectivity:
Huawei Mate 50 series are the first phone to bring this technology to the world. The satellite communication feature helps to send an SMS over a satellite without a mobile network. However, within 6 months, Huawei introduced second-generation satellite connectivity.
Huawei P60 and Mate X3 are capable of two-way SMS communication, an upgrade from one-way SMS in Huawei Mate 50 series. To use this tech, Huawei is utilizing China’s Beidou satellite and allowing users to send 30 free SMS per month for the time being.
