Huawei P series flagship is known for its best in class camera sensor that establishes new records and stays on top of the DXOMARK camera ranking as well as any other smartphone camera benchmark.

In the past, Huawei has brought a number of new camera technologies including the new better and improved wide camera, Cine camera, Periscope camera, and the latest Ultra Vision camera with better than ever image quality.

According to the information coming from Weibo tipster, Huawei will bring a new super imaging system with the Huawei P40, which will launch in the coming month.

Furthermore, the tipster stated that Huawei is still working with Leica and will bring a new ID design, a better color system, and a major upgrade to the image quality with the P50.

Powerful Image sensor in the past:

Launched in 2020, Huawei P40 comes with an Ultra Vision camera, the world’s largest CMOS sensor to date. Measuring 1/1.28 inches diagonally, compared to 1/1.7 inch type camera in P30 Pro.

The Ultra Vision camera also adopts RYYB color mapping, with 40% more light intake in comparison to any other CMOS sensor.

It supports pixel binning to achieve a pixel size of 2.44μm and Full Pixel Octa PD AutoFocus for high-speed focus at any time of day, while the Huawei XD Fusion Engine integrates and processes data from multiple cameras to generate a comprehensive improvement in picture quality.

The same camera had been used in the Mate 40 Pro. However, the company added a new FreeForm ultra-wide-angle lens that greatly reduces distortion in the photos and provides a better wide-angle scene.

Every year, the Huawei P series establishes a new bar of smartphone photography and we’ll look forward to seeing what Huawei P50 has to offer for the consumers.
