Huawei is seeding new software updates for its smartphones and the P40 Pro is one of the latest phones to receive the October 2022 security patch EMUI version 12.0.0.276.

Although we’ve already entered November but the patch is quite old, while some phones have already grabbed this software upgrade.

Talking about the software itself, Huaweiblog reports that Huawei P40 Pro EMUI 12.0.0.276 improves system security with the latest Android security patches. Aside from this, the phone is eligible to receive EMUI 13 but Huawei has not revealed when it’ll actually test this EMUI version for consumers.

Furthermore, Huawei P40 Pro device users are continuously getting new firmware and it’s good to see that Huawei keeps improving the P40 Pro with new software rollouts.

To be mentioned, such rollouts are part of the gradual practices and this firmware will cover Huawei P40 Pro in batches.

Huawei P40 Pro is one of the last phones to come with a 5G chipset and features Leica powered camera system that empowers great photography right out of this flagship.

Other than that, Huawei shipped these phones with EMUI 10.1 in the global market, while their Chinese counterpart now works with HarmonyOS software.

How to update:

If you want to download this firmware, get it via Settings > from here tap on System and updates > then tap on Software updates. Now the phone will reach out to the server to get a firmware build for you. However, the entire process may take some time so don’t forget to keep a cup of coffee beside you.
