Huawei P Smart 2018 receiving Huawei Assistant and Smart Charge with a new software update

Published

on

Launched in 2017, Huawei P Smart 2018 comes with a 5.65-inch FHD+ display, 13MP rear camera, 3000mAh battery, and EMUI 8 that is upgradable to EMUI 9.1.

However, this phone is not upgradable to EMUI 10 and is long been out from the monthly security updates bulletin. Now, breaking this long halt of software updates, Huawei has pushed a new software update for Huawei P Smart 2018 that brings it new smart features including Huawei Assistant, Smart Charge, and a new security patch.

Since Huawei P Smart 2018 has not received an update in months and it’s also not eligible for EMUI 10, the new features could be at least a normal treatment for the smartphone users.

Check more details about the changelog, version, and update instructions below.

Huawei P Smart 2018 Update Changelog:

Huawei Assistant: Huawei Assistant provides smart reminders, personalized news, and other content relevant to you. The assistant is accessible via the home screen.

Battery: Adds the Smart Charge mode, reducing battery aging by adapting to your charging routine through AI learning and preventing the battery from being continuously charged when full. (This feature is enabled by default.)

Security: Integrated Android security patches released in April 2020 for improved system security.

VERSION:

This new update for Huawei P Smart 2018 coming with EMUI 9.1 version 9.1.0.203 and an update package size of 673MB.

Note:

  • EMUI version and update size may vary.
  • The update is rolling out in batches, so it may take some time to reach your device.
