Huawei Nova Y72

Huawei today announced Nova Y72, a new smartphone in the affordable Nova series for global customers. From the design perspective, the phone is identical to the Huawei Enjoy 70 model.

Huawei Nova Y72 is 168.3mm tall, 77.7mm wide, and 8.93mm thick, while the weight is 207 grams. It equips a 6.75-inch LCD screen with 16.7 million colors and HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels).

The rear side of the device is similar to the Huawei P60 Pro with a wide vertical camera bump on the top left side of the back panel. It has two cameras, the first is a 50MP main camera and the second is a 2MP macro camera.

The back camera brings modes such as night scenes and high-quality pixel modes. The Huawei Nova Y72 has an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

This device packs a 6000mAh battery with 22.5-watt charging. The phone equips an X Key on the left side, which enables actions such as single/double tap actions to launch apps or use a quick feature.

The phone is currently announced in two colors – Black and Green but there could be more color options available in different markets.

The processor of this device is currently kept hidden but in China, the phone is using Kirin 710 chip, which might be the case for global customers as well.

The global unit of Huawei Nova Y72 is priced at R 4,999 in South Africa with freebies including earphones and a table lamp worth R 1,798. More details about the phone and its variant are yet to be announced along with a sale date.
