Huawei Nova 9 gets April 2023 update

Huawei is rolling out a new software update for the Nova 9 global models and it comes with April 2023 security patches for better system safety. Note that the Huawei Nova 9 in the global market runs EMUI 12 software and it’s a worthy contender for receiving EMUI 13.

Speaking of the software update, it has a build version of 12.0.1.285 upgrading from EMUI 12.0.1.282, while the package size of 372 megabytes. However, the changelog doesn’t mention much except the latest security improvements.

You can download April 2023 EMUI update right away from the system settings of Huawei Nova 9. If it doesn’t appear there, you may have to wait a little longer as the rollout progress in batches.

Note that the software update procedure may take a few minutes in order to install to unpack the OTA version. Following the installation, the phone will restart to settle the latest firmware.
