Huawei Nova 8 SE begin collecting the August 2022 HarmonyOS update. The firmware update has arrived with the build version for the Nova 8 SE smartphones running over the version.

Huawei packed numerous interesting features with this smartphone at an affordable rate. The quad camera on the rear side provides an amazing picture experience to its users. In spite of being an old smartphone, it is getting the latest update.

  • Huawei Nova 8 SE 5G (JSC-AN00)
  • Huawei Nova 8 SE 4G (JSC-AL50)

August 2022 HarmonyOS update:

Notably, the August 2022 HarmonyOS update fixes certain vulnerabilities in each section of the system, 4 CVEs in the Framework section, 1 CVE in the Kernel section, 1 CVE in the System section, 5 CVEs in the Application section, and the rest 7 CVEs were resolved from the Third- Party library section.

The chief purpose of the August 2022 HarmonyOS update is to boost the performance of the smartphone by maintaining the security of the system.



There are two ways to download the update:

Via Settings:

  • Head on to the Settings menu on your smartphone
  • Then click on the Software & updates section
  •  Select the Software updates option
  • Download and Install the update (if available)

Via MY Huawei app:

  • Open the “MY Huawei” app on your smartphone
  • Go to the Update section
  • Then follow the on-screen norms

Keep your smartphone sufficiently charged, as the update might consume more power. Also, charge your phone for more than 2 hours after the installation of the update, and use a suitable Wi-Fi connection for downloading.

If you choose the “My Huawei” app for the update, then make sure that the app runs on the latest version. Alongside this, take a backup of your important data beforehand to avoid data loss.
