Both of these models are equipped with a brand new camera system, powerful selfie cameras, better design, and a lot more. There are a bunch of other features that this lineup has to offer and will unveil at the launch but here’s everything you need to know about Huawei Nova 10 series.
Display:
Huawei has built both of these displays with high-quality specs, first coming to the standard model – Nova 10, which comes with a 6.67-inch display with a large and clear view and curved edges on the sides. The display has a single-hole punch and the company is offering a 120Hz refresh rate for you to explore this phone with smoother frame rates.
Huawei Nova 10 Pro has a 6.78-inch OLED panel with a 120hz refresh rate, the slight difference in the display allows the phone to carry a wide pill shape cutout to house two front cameras.
That’s not it, the display has curved edges on the left and right sides of the display while keeping the bezels out of the frame.
Processor:
Both Huawei Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 4G processor with octa-core architecture – 4 x Cortex-A78 at 2.42 GHz + 4 x Cortex-A55 at 1.8 GHz. On the other hand, you will get Adreno 642L GPU for faster graphics processing.
Camera:
If we’re talking about a Huawei phone we must have to take a special look at its camera system.
Both Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro feature the same rear camera count consisting of three lenses:
- 50MP main camera
- 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera
- A depth of field camera
However, the Pro version has a big camera lens at f/1.8, while the non-Pro version has an f/1.9 aperture in total.
The design is specialized to highlight with an oval outer ring in the silver version with golden finishing. However, all of the models have that highlighted center camera ring that catches your eye easily.
Time to talk about the front cameras, Huawei Nova 10 series is a selfie monster, HOW? Let’s find out.
Huawei Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro are packed with a monstrous 60MP f/2.4 main selfie camera, which is likely to boost the selfie quality with lots of wide room to capture every person with its ultra-wide-angle capability.
The standard version comes only with the main camera, while the Pro version equips a dual front camera system consisting of an 8MP depth of field camera for the front with f/2.2 aperture.
Battery and Charging:
These two upcoming Nova devices have a sufficient amount of battery life, speaking of which, the Nova 10 has a 4000mAh battery, while the Nova 10 Pro features a 4500mAh battery.
Nah…. we’re not taking these devices for granted. Therefore, Huawei has added a taste of quickness in the charging section by combining, 66W super-fast charging on the standard version and a whopping 100W turbocharging on the Pro, which allows users to charge this device full cell in under 20 minutes. Isn’t that fast enough but being fast is not enough, that’s why Huawei is using a new cell technology that keeps the device cool even while recharging at this speed.
Design:
Both Huawei Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro are designed with different materials – the rear side of the Nova 10 Pro is made with matte finishing. On the hand, the rear side of the standard model has glass. Both of these phones have four beautiful colors – Silver, Black, Purple, and Green.
Software:
Huawei Nova series in China comes with a pre-installed HarmonyOS 2 operating system that offers different smart features. However, if this series goes global, then we’ll surely see the inclusion of EMUI 12 onboard.
Release Date:
Huawei Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro will launch on July 4th. While the price of these two devices is yet to be known. We’ll keep you posted.

iPhone 15 Pro to use Periscope camera, better than Huawei P60 Pro?

Huawei P60 Pro is the only smartphone that comes with ultra lighting periscope zoom camera but it seems like Apple may also bring this telephoto camera for iPhone 15 Pro.
A well-known Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo said that iPhone 15 Pro Max will come with a new periscope camera and it will be supplied by Taiwan’s optical maker Largan.
Largan Precision (Largan) designs, develops, manufactures, and sells plastic aspherical lenses and optical components. The company’s product portfolio includes cellphone/NB lenses, webcam lenses, camera lenses, car lenses, and scanner lenses.
It is reported that the iPhone 15 Pro Max may use a 6x optical zoom, which would be more than the 5x on conventional Android phones. An industry insider claims that Apple may have not used this tech before but the iPhone maker is testing this Periscope reserve for years and wants to finally bring it with new phones.
What is Periscope?
A periscope lens allows the light to reflect through an angled mirror toward the image sensor located in the camera. The large periscope lens directional shift allows a “folded” telephoto lens system for improved optical zoom capabilities without the blurriness that comes with digital zoom.
Better than Huawei?
When it comes to the periscope, Huawei P60 Pro wins the race with the first-ever f/2.1 aperture sensor telephoto sensor. This empowers bright photos even for zoomed images.
This time, Huawei P60 Pro also comes with a brand-new periscope module. It has multiple mirror groups inside to improve the view and zoom levels of the subject. The use of a wide prism enables to capture of a large area and delivers more light on the sensor.
That’s not it, Huawei P60 Pro already beats the iPhone 14 Pro Max by intaking over 488% more light in the telephoto camera competition.
This is far beyond the capability of the iPhone but we’ll wait to see what Apple is preparing with Periscope for the iPhone 15 Pro Max and whether would it be able to beat Huawei P60 Pro.
