Huawei MeeTime: Supported devices, countries and how to use it

Huawei initially introduced a number of new features including the MeeTime calling with EMUI 10.1 software system. Huawei MeeTime allows you can make 1080p HD video calls using either Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Video calls are crystal clear, even in poorly lit environments, and MeeTime has a wide range of handy features, including beauty mode, screen sharing, and 360-degree background switching.
You can divert calls between a range of devices, including tablets, speakers, and smart TVs, and even use drones and motion cameras to share videos in real-time. This platform is further enhanced with EMUI 11 and allows users to access it in more markets.

Checking supported countries/regions:
To see which countries and regions support MeeTime, take a look at the list below. You will be able to receive the MeeTime service if the country/region set for your phone (which can be found in Settings > System & updates > Language & input > Language and region > Region) and the country/region your HUAWEI ID is registered for (which can be found in Settings > Account center > Settings > About) are contained in the list. We will be making this feature more widely available in the near future.

Where to find MeeTime
If the country/region set for your phone supports MeeTime, it will appear as a tab in the pre-installed Phone or Contacts app. You can touch the tab to access its screen.
Prerequisites for activating MeeTime
While you have logged in to a HUAWEI ID that has linked a phone number, and the country/region this HUAWEI ID is registered for supports MeeTime, this feature can be activated.

Huawei Nova 8i May 2022 EMUI update is expanding

June is about to end, yet Huawei Nova 8i users are still dealing with the same May 2022 EMUI security update. Yes! the Chinese manufacturer is expanding the May 2022 security patch to more Nova 8i consumers in the global market.
So far, the Nova 8i users were looking for a fresh security patch. But it seems like they have to wait a little more. As of now, the Huawei Nova 8i smartphone owners are receiving the May 2022 EMUI update with the version 11.0.1.212 (C432E2R2P3) and a package size of 169 Megabytes.
To upgrade your device, visit the Settings menu. Further, scroll down and select System & Updates. Next, you will find the Software Updates option, click on it and let the device search for the latest firmware. Thereafter, hit the download & Install tab for proceeding ahead.
May 2022 EMUI Update Changelog
As mentioned in our previous article, the update only integrates the May 2022 security patch. However, users must install the update as it fixes the different levels of exploits and issues. Additionally, Huawei put efforts into finding the hidden privacy defects and resolving them for improved system security.
Moreover, the May 2022 security patch rectifies and mends 1 critical, 13 high, and 16 medium levels of CVEs. Thus, it is important to download the new patch in order to prevent your smartphone from unnecessary laggings and system errors.
EMUI 12 eligible Huawei Nova 8i
Back in time, Huawei confirmed the eligibility of Nova 8i for the EMUI 12 software. However, it has been a long while since the statement came out, but the Nova 8i users hadn’t seen even a glimpse of the new interface.
It’s still an unknown fact as to when the Chinese firm will roll out the EMUI 12 relatable activities for the respective smartphones. Yet, there is a surety that the Huawei Nova 8i will soon catch the exclusive features of EMUI 12.

Huawei P40 Lite (EMUI 12) installs June 2022 security update

Huawei P40 Lite smartphone users begin collecting the June 2022 software update across the globe. The update increases the security patch level of the respective devices running EMUI 12 software. Moreover, it strengthens the system against minor bugs and protects the device against threats.
According to the latest information, Huawei P40 Lite June 2022 update is sailing on the EMUI version 12.0.0.232 (C432E5R6P2). On the flip side, the update carries a software package with a size of 225MB.
Mentioning the changelog, the latest June 2022 EMUI update only includes the security improvements and doesn’t have any significant changes to the system. Yet, it promises to enhance the functioning as well as security of the core mechanism.

Wait for some moments, while the device will fetch the new firmware. As the update flashes on the screen, click on the Download & Install option. Let the device adapt to the system, and reboot it once before using it.
However, before you upgrade, you must note the following points:
- Make sure that your phone has a battery level of 35 percent.
- Have ample space in your device for storing the new software.
- Use a high-end Wi-Fi connection for a successful installation process.
- Although the update would not harm any data, still it’s better to have a complete backup of your essentials to another device.
