Huawei MatePad Pro officially launches as the first ever tablet with hole-punch display

Since the beginning, Huawei tablets are being introduced under the MediaPad series but today the company has re-established its tablet division with the launch of Huawei MatePad Pro.

At a glace, Huawei MatePad Pro can be seen with its significant aesthetic and powerful specs but the main attraction of this tablet is its display, which makes MatePad pro the first tablet in the world to come with a hole-punch display.

Also, the MatePad Pro is the first tablet to come with a 5G version and first in Huawei to come with a new M-Pen, supporting 4096 pressure sensitivity to improve users’ productivity.

Specifications:

Huawei MatePad Pro comes with 10.8-inch with 2K QHD resolution (2560×1600) and 289 PPI, powered by Kirin 990 and with a setup of 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB internal storage.

The tablet comes with battery sizes of 7250mAh that can be recharged with 40W fast charging, 15Wireless charging, and can share power with other devices with 7.5W reverse wireless charging.

Huawei MatePad Pro is equipped with a 13MP f/1.8 aperture rear camera and 8MP f/2.0 aperture front camera.

For entertainment, it comes with cinema-level audio provided by Histen 6.0 and tuned by Harmon Kardon.

From the software side, MatePad Pro runs EMUI 10 (Android 10) with the support of GPU Turbo 3 for better gaming performance and the multiscreen collaboration is there to make full use of its large display.

Additionally, the MatePad Pro is equipped with a smart magnetic keyboard, with Bluetooth fast pairing and wireless charging. Both M-Pen and wireless keyboard will be sold separately.

The MatePad Pro expands at 149mm X 159mm X 7.2mm and weighs at 460g. It has two color options of Black, and White, while more colors will be unlocked later on along with extra accessories including covers.

Huawei MatePad Pro (WiFi) 6GB+128GB version priced at 3299 CNY (469 USD).

Huawei MatePad Pro (LTE) 6GB+128GB version priced at 3799 CNY (540 USD).

Huawei MatePad Pro (WiFi) 8GB+256GB version priced at 3999 CNY (568 USD).

Huawei MatePad Pro will be on pre-sale starting November 25 at 18:08 China time and the first official sale is scheduled for December 12 at 00:00 China time. On the other hand, the leather versions will be available from December 25.

This tablet also has a 5G version that will be launched in the first quarter of 2020.

The company has not announced any specifics about the launch of Huawei MatePad Pro, which we could expect in the upcoming months.
