Huawei MateBook 14 2020 launches with Nvidia MX350 graphics

Huawei MateBook 14 2020 was initially released with 10th gen processors and Nvidia MX250 graphics and today the company updated this notebook with a new Nvidia MX350 card for better graphics performance.

The new MX350 version of MateBook 14 2020 only carries 16GB RAM models. More information linked below.

Huawei MateBook 14 2020:

Huawei MateBook 14 2020 features a 14-inch IPS 2K resolution (2160 x 1440) display with a 90% screen-to-body ratio and narrow bezels for maximized viewing experience. It weighs 1.53kg and a thickness of 15.9mm makes it lightweight.

The display supports 10-point multi-touch sensitive screen. Users can even swipe down with three fingers to capture the screen and then extract text from the screenshot for editing.

The notebook includes a built-in fingerprint reader on top of the power button and a full-size backlit chicklet keyboard, touchpad, and hidden key camera.

Huawei Matebook 14 2020 has 1 x USB-C, 1 x USB-A 2.0, 1 x USB Type-C, 1 x HDMI port and a 3.5mm headset and a microphone 2-in-1 jack. It runs Windows 10 and featured with applications such as Huawei Share, One Touch file transfer, Eye comfort mode, and Huawei PC Manager.

The Huawei MateBook 14 2020 sales started in China with the following prices:

  1. MateBook 14 (i7 + 16GB + 512GB + Touchscreen) – CNY 7399 ($1042)
  2. MateBook 14 (i5 + 16GB + 512GB + Touchscreen) – CNY 6399 ($900)

Huawei L420 notebook to equip 5nm Kirin chipset

Huawei has already launched a bunch of smart notebook series that comes with various capabilities and unique design aspects. By taking this initiative forward and bringing more uniqueness to its entire notebook series, Huawei may soon unveil its next notebook featuring a 5nm (nanometer) Kirin chipset.

According to a leaked poster, the next Huawei notebook – Qingyun L420 will equip with a 5nm Kirin 9006C chipset with octa-core specifications and a maximum clock rate of 3.13GHz. This notebook has an integrated graphics card, equipped with 8GB of LPDDR5 memory, along with 256/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, as it supports 160MHz WiFi 6 network connectivity.

Huawei Quingyun L420 chipset brings a 14-ich display that has 2140 x 1440 resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio and it’s 15.9 mm thick along with a weight of 1.45kg. On the other hand, you’ll get input-output ports for HDMI, min RJ45 network port, 2 USB-A slots, and a headset interface along with a full-featured USB C.

In terms of a software system, the Huawei Qingyun L420 features KOS, or it could give you the option to select from UOS.

The previously launched Quingyun L410 chip was launched with Kirin 990 chipset and features a 14-inch 2k resolution display, featuring a Chinese Unified Operating system AKA UOS and for government and enterprise users.

The latest version of this laptop will bring more power and processing capability for the consumers. However, on the other hand, there’s no official available on the launch of this notebook from the official’s end.

HOW TO INSTALL:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the My Huawei app. To do this, open the My Huawei app, tap on the update, then select Check for updates, and then download and install.

Huawei MatePad 11 is receiving November 2021 security update (Global)

Huawei MatePad 11 November update

Huawei MatePad 11 tablet is now grabbing the latest software update that prioritizes the installation of the November 2021 security patch. However, this update is rolling out in the global market and will soon expand to its Chinese counterpart.

According to the information, November 2021 update for Huawei MatePad 11 comes with HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.221 (C432E2R2P1) and comes with an update package of 225MB. The November 2021 HarmonyOS security patch resolves 1 medium level of CVE in the system, 5 medium-level CVE fixed in the Kernel, 10 CVEs in the application, and 40 CVEs in third-party libraries.

Just a day ago, Huawei has released a firmware update for MatePad 11 that brought a very interesting HD voice and video calls feature – MeeTime support along with app horizontal display optimization, This update was delivered with version 2.0.0.219 with an update size of 366MB in Europe.
