According to the supply chain industry, Huawei has made some important improvements in the Mate Xs that are more easier to produce in comparison to Mate X and will cut the production cost.
This savings from the production is expected to be given to the consumers of this upcoming foldable phone.
Huawei Mate X is priced at 16,999 CNY (2470 USD, 2215 EUR), which makes it the most expensive smartphone Huawei has ever released. By reducing the price of Huawei could increase the chances of selling more devices in the overseas markets.
The information also reveals that Huawei Mate Xs will come with an improved and stable hinge design, better display and durable build quality. Moreover, the Mate Xs could also feature a smaller display than the Mate X.
At the launching of Huawei Mate X in October, Huawei announced to launch Mate Xs equipped with Kirin 990 in March 2020. Unlike Mate X, Huawei Mate Xs will be sold outside of China.
As report previously, Huawei also has a second-gen foldable phone that expected to be released in the second half of this year but there’s not enough input available on that.

Huawei Mate 50 series with Kunlun Glass is unbreakable and Bruce Lee said that Kunlun Glass has been developed for 4 years. At this time, the company has gone through various challenges and made its way through them.
According to Lee, Kunlun Glass found inspiration from the hard and durable reinforced concrete structure. After 24 hours of crystal growth, 108 processes, and a 1600-degree melting process, a piece of mobile phone panel glass contains hundreds of billions of high-strength nanocrystals, which are impact-resistant.
The process also prevents cracking, so that the crash resistance of the whole machine equipped with Kunlun glass is increased by 10 times.
After the release of the Huawei Mate 50 series, Huawei also opened an upgrade service for old Huawei smartphones. These eligible devices could upgrade with Kunlun display including the P50 series and P40 series.

Chipset Manufacturing Equipment Ban:
According to a Bloomberg report, the U.S. has secured a deal with Netherlands and Japan to tighten access of chipset manufacturing technologies for China. This new move is designed to limit China’s ability to come up with a breakthrough in chip production technology.
Amid this situation, firms such as Huawei are an example of U.S. chip control restrictions and the extent that the U.S. has gone to control Chinese tech makers’ progress in the global telecom market.
Since 2019, the U.S. is continuously imposing restrictions on Huawei. Thereafter, Huawei lost access to Google Mobile Services (GMS) and the ability to print new Kirin chips via Taiwan’s TSMC.
The result of these actions caused a major drop in Huawei smartphone sales and the firm had to announce the ending of Kirin. Thus relying on Qualcomm is the sole option for the company and since 2021, Huawei is using Snapdragon semiconductors for all of its new devices.

Honor 90 series could launch in May
Honor continues to launch new smartphones among consumers and the company could launch its next smartphone lineup, Honor 90 series around May.
According to the input coming from Weibo tipster Classmateguan, Honor 90 series could launch by the end of May. It’s expected that this lineup will be empowered over Honor 80 series, and the feedback from customers will help the company to achieve its aim.
The tipster reveals that Honor 90 devices will bring dual speakers and an Optical image stabilization anti-shake camera system. The smartphone lineup will be enhanced until the launch event and we could expect major improvements in video shooting.
It is anticipated that the Honor 90 series won’t disappoint customers and will lead the smartphone market further in a new direction. Meanwhile, Honor has not made an official announcement.
